The instructor from the Advanced Taekwon-Do Club Euroatlas Tomy Gizdov was promoted to the Taekkyon Master V Dan by the Kyulyun Taekyun Association.

Tomy Gizdov thoroughly studied the overall system and methodology of the ancient Korean martial art Tae Kion under the guidance of Master Metodi Kolchev, who is the doyen of Martial Arts in Bulgaria.

Metodi Kolchev is one of the students of Grandmaster Hwang Jung Nam (1929-2005; 10th Dan Begi-Tae-Kion, 6th Dan Taekwondo, 4th Dan Judo and 2nd Dan Kendo); back in 1956 and also studied with Sensei Stefan Hinkov (1927-2014). With Hwang as part of the Begi Tae Kyung system, Kolchev specialized in working with gymnastic clubs and was taught almost the entire system for this,  which together with the other two devices jogging and rope, develops extraordinary qualities for martial arts practitioners. These invaluable methods and what he learned from the old masters, Metodi Kolchev managed to pass on to the next generation of his students.

Master Tomy Gizdov is  the Chief Coordinator of the Taekkyon Division of the Advanced Taekwon-do Europe ATEU (ATKD.EU).
