Chief Coordinator of the Korean kickboxing (Kun Gek Do) division is Mario Iliev. Master Iliev has been practicing martial arts for over 40 years and holds master’s degrees (black belt) in several. He has a VII dan in kickboxing from the International Kickboxing Federation. Hold a Master degree from the National Sports Academy NSA and the Academy of the Ministry of Interior. Chief instructor in “Police Self-Defense” with more than 30 years of sports and pedagogical experience as a senior lecturer at the Police Academy. Colonel of the Union of Bulgarian Commandos. Principal Instructor of the Martial Arts Academy. The competitors he coached have won a large number of awards (titles, cups and medals) from competitions of different ranks. Some of competitors are promoted as IKF black belts.
Judge “National Category” in kickboxing. He graduated from a referee’s course led by the two-time (ISKA) European champion (1994/1995) and bronze medalist from the World (WAKO) Championship (1991) Emil Tonev – chairman of the referee commission of the Bulgarian Kickboxing and Muay Thai Confederation.
Participated in a theoretical and practical kickboxing seminar for elite athletes and coaches at the NSA with leading master Semi Schilt (Netherlands) – four-time K-1 World Heavyweight Champion (2005-2007, 2009), the only one in the world with three consecutive titles, champion of Glory Heavyweight Grand Slam, champion of MMA – Openweight King of Pancrase, two-time champion Daido Juku Hokutoki, two-time European champion International Budo Kai (Full contact karate), Best Full Contact Fighter for 2008 by the magazine „Black Belt Magazine“.
He participated in a seminar with a leading senior master Malcolm Jones (VIII dan) – chairman and chief instructor of Integrity martial arts, by whom he was promoted to VII dan.
He was awarded an honorary master degree “Honorary degree” by the Italian kung fu and kickboxing To’A Federation, a member of the World Kickboxing Federation.
