From 25.02 to 30.03.2023, Grand Master Rudolf Kang held an online course Biomechanics in Taekwon-Do. The course program included lectures, practical demonstrations and answers to questions from the participants.

Elements of theory of the power in Taekwon-Do were considered, not only as physical quantities, but also as part of real techniques. Through examples and graphs were presented the mass, velocity, force, momentum and energy in the execution of a technique. Was explained number of specifics of performing TKD techniques from a biomechanical point of view. GM Kang supplemented and clarified a number of explanations of gen. Choi given at international seminars and remained controversial.

Huge attention was paid to the precise execution of the sine wave to achieve maximum result. GM Kang gave its own definition of sine wave in Taekwon-Do. He showed in detail the optimal performance and pointed out the inaccuracies in the sine wave variants of other organizations and Grand Masters.

Grand Master Kang led the course and answered questions from the participants, and Alexandra Kang translated.

The information from the course will find a place in the new edition of the book Advanced Taekwon-Do – the modern martial art and on the sites of the chain.
