The chief coordinator of the Taekkyon direction is Tomy Gizdov. Master Gizdov has been practicing martial arts for over 20 years and holds a master’s degree (black belt V dan) in Taekkyon.
Tomy Gizdov hold V dan in Advanced Taekwon-do. Bachelor from the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski, teacher of physical education and sports with a degree in Taekwon-do. He is a black belt holder in Judo and Shotokan Karate. He specialized in Judo under Assist. ace. Evalt Albert, participated in practical seminars in Karate under the guidance of Shihan Gen. Petar Vassilev. He studied Specialized Hand-to-Hand Combat (SRB) under Major Dimitar Barzev, and also participated in a seminar on personal police protection led by Colonel Mario Iliev VII Dan.
He thoroughly studied the overall system and methodology of the ancient Korean martial art Taekkyon and Kyoksul under the guidance of Master Metodi Kolchev, who is the doyen of the Martial Arts in Bulgaria and a personal student of Grand Master Hwang Jung Nam 10th Dan.
He participated in a seminar with senior master Malcolm Jones (VIII dan) – chairman and chief instructor of Integrity martial arts / OpenITF, by whom he was promoted to IV dan Taekwon-do.
